General

+ - Do I need a driving license?

Motit places at your disposal motorbikes and mopeds. If you only have a moped driving license we will show you only your closest and available moped. If you have a 125cc motorbike driving license (A1) or 3-year old car driving license (B) we wil show you the closest motorbike or moped. Any of the driving license must belong to a country in the EU or under a valid agreement.

 

+ - Which is the minimum age to drive Motit?

18 years old.

+ - Do I have to wear a helmet?

Yes, you must wear a helmet. This is a need if you ride a Motit not only for your safety but to follow the law. You will find 2 courtesy helmets in your Motit. What happens if you have your own helmet? You can use it instead of the Motit one leaving it in its locker.

 

+ - Can I carry a passenger?

Yes, you can. Our motorbikes are legally authorised to carry 2 people.

+ - Are the motorbikes insured?

Yes. Our motorbikes are insured by a top company. The insurance covers third party damages, personal injuries of driver and passenger and possible motorbike damages which cost is higher than the franchise price.
This will go into effect as long as the Terms of service are fulfilled by the user.

+ - Is it a safe payment?

Yes, it is 100% safe payment. The payment will be done through a payment gateway protected by a top banking institution which guarantees data confidentiality.

+ - When can I use Motit?

365 a year, 24h a day.

+ - Who can use it?

The only person that is authorised to drive the motorbike is the booking holder, the user that has booked the motorbike. Be aware that if there is an accident and the driver does not correspond with the booking holder, the insurance will only cover the booking holder.

 

+ - Do I need to charge the motorbike?

No, you don’t. We will charge and take care of the batteries in order to have them ready for your booking.

 

App

+ - Where can I download the app?

You will find the app in Google Play and App Store. Just tip ‘Motit’ in the search engine and you will find it available for free.

+ - Can I have the same Motit user in more than 1 Smartphone?

No, you can’t. You can only have 1 Smartphone logged in with your Motit user. If you log in the user in a new Smartphone it will log out automatically in the previous Smartphone.

Sign up

+ - How can I sign up Motit?

Join us in just a few minutes through the app. Once you have finished the quick registration, you will be ready to use Motit immediately.

+ - What do I need to sign up?

You need your driving license and your credit or debit card.

+ - Which city do I need to sign up in?

You have to choose the city where you are going to use Motit regularly. If you move to another Motit City, you will just have to go to ‘My account’ section in the app and remove your current city to enter the new one.
If you are going to visit a Motit City which is not your current one, you can use the service as usual, no additional formalities.

Booking

+ - What kind of bookings are there?

There are 2 kinds of booking:

●       Trip: a free itinerary around the city.

●       Tour: several tours around the city guided by the motorbike GPS Navigator.

+ - How do I book?

Through the app:

1.      Choose the booking: trip or tour.

2.      Show us the location where you want to pick up the motorbike just by clicking ‘current position’ or writing down the full address and clicking the loupe.

3.      Show us how many km do you expect to do (only the trip option).

4.      We will suggest you the closest motorbike to the location indicated and how to reach it.

5.      Wake up the motorbike, put on the helmet and enjoy the Motit experience.

+ - How many time do I have to reach the motorbike?

You have 15 courtesy minutes to reach the motorbike before starting the booking. Of course, you will be able to start it before.
If these 15 minutes pass, the trip or tour will be considered as started and the booking minutes will start to be counted. If 10 more minutes pass and you have not started your trip or tour, it will be cancelled automatically and these 10 minutes will be considered as a booking and charged.

+ - Can I cancel the booking?

Of course. However, be aware that if you cancel the booking after confirming it a cancellation fee will be charged.

+ - How can I start the motorbike?

After reaching the motorbike, you have to click on ‘wake up motorbike’ in your Smartphone and switch ON the red button in the handlebars.

+ - How can I open the helmet trunk?

Click on ‘open trunk’ in your Smartphone and switch ON the red button in the handlebars. Be aware: the motorbike will be started by switching ON the red button so you will not have to click on ‘awake motorbike’ after opening the helmet trunk.

 

+ - How can I finish my booking?

In order to finish your booking you have to check in the following:

* Park in a motorbike authorised area within the Motit Zone.

* Get the motorbike on the stand and press ‘open trunk’ in your smartphone.

* Leave the helmets in the motorbike trunk and make sure it is closed correctly.

* Switch OFF the red button in the handlebars.

* Press ‘Finish booking’ in your smartphone.

+ - Can I do an intermediate stop?

Yes, you can. You just have to block the motorbike switching OFF the red button in the handlebars. That way, you will be the only person able to release it again and the booking will not be over.
In order to start the motorbike again, you just have to click on ‘restart motorbike’ in your Smartphone and switch ON the red button in the handlebars.

+ - What do I have to do if I do not know how to reach my destination?

Do not worry about it. You will find the option ‘choose destination’ in your Smartphone: write down the full address and click on ‘confirm destination’. The motorbike GPS navigator will guide you through the city.

Motit Zone

+ - What is the Motit Zone?

We have designed a zone in the city for you to pick up and drop off the motorbike. Check it in our website or smartphone app.

 

+ - Can I get out of the Motit Zone?

Yes, of course. The Motit Zone has been designed only for you to pick up and drop off the motorbike. During the booking you will be able to go over the city freely.

Rates

+ - What does the price include?

The prices includes: service, VAT, insurance and courtesy helmet.

+ - How much does it cost?

Check out our rates and minute packs in our website or smartphone app. If you choose a trip, you will only pay for the minutes you use. If you choose a tour, you will pay a fixed price for the maximum period of time you can use the motorbike.

 

+ - Is there any penalty fee?

There is only a penalty fee if the terms of Service are not accomplished by the user.

Incidences

+ - What happens if I cannot find the motorbike?

Keep calm. First, we recommend you to cancel the booking. Then, we will be very grateful if you let us know via whatsapp or email what happened. You can make another booking If you want. However, be aware: if the former motorbike is still available, the app will assign you the same one again because it is the closest to your location. If do not know the city, you can call us within the customer service hours and we will try to help you find the motorbike.

 

+ - What can I do If the motorbike is damaged and I cannot start my booking?

First, check if you have the WIFI connection of your Smartphone activated. You can call us or send us a Whatsapp message within the customer service hours, in order to help you start the motorbike.

Outside business hours: you can contact us via email. We recommend you to cancel the booking and go on with your activity. You can make another booking If you want. However, be aware: if the former motorbike is still available, the app will assign you the same one again because it is the closest to your location.

 

+ - What do I have to do If I cannot start the motorbike?

First, check if you have the WIFI connection of your Smartphone activated.
You can call us or send us a Whatsapp message from Monday through Thursday 9-18h and on Friday 9-15h, in order to help you start the motorbike.
Outside business hours: you can contact us via email. We recommend you to cancel the booking and go on with your activity.
You can make another booking If you want. However, be aware: if the former motorbike is still available, the app will assign you the same one again because it is the closest to your location.

+ - What do I have to do if the motorbike breaks and stops working while I am driving?

First, if possible, park the motorbike correctly and go on with your activity. Then, we will be very grateful if you let us know what happened via Motit app, through the option ‘reporting incident’.
You can make another booking If you want. However, be aware: if the former motorbike is still available, the app will assign you the same one again because it is the closest to your location.
We will send an operator in order to check and repair the motorbike. As soon as we get the report, we will contact you to indicate how to proceed.

+ - What do I have to do If I want to recommend a motorbike checking after the booking?

Please, inform us via email. You will find the contact information in the section ‘contact’ in the main menu of the app. We will be very grateful to receive your recommendations and, as soon as possible, an operator will check and get the motorbike ready.

+ - What do I have to do if my Smartphone runs out of battery while I am driving?

Please check out the battery level before booking. You can call us within customer service hours. Outside Customer service hours: you can contact us via email. Please, try to park the motorbike correctly. We recommend you to switch OFF the red button in the handlebars and go on with your activity. Do not worry about it, no one can start the motorbike but you.

 

+ - What should I do if the police stops me?

They will ask for the motorbike documentation. You will find it in the motorbike trunk. Please, once you have showed it to the policeman, you must put the documentation back in its initial place.

 

+ - What do I have to do If I have an accident?

The motorbike will detect any accident.
If you have had minor injuries or there has been a third party, please, collect the personal data of the third party (name, ID and license plate) and send us an email through the section ‘contact’ of the main menu. We need the information to start the insurance procedures.
Please, if you have had minor injuries and  you cannot finish your booking please try to park the motorbike correctly and go on with your activity. As soon as possible, we will send an operator in order to check and repair the motorbike.
You will also find a tow truck number in the motorbike if you cannot park the motorbike correctly.
You can make another booking If you want. However, be aware: if the former motorbike is still available, the app will assign you the same one again because it is the closest to your location.
